A Campaign of Generosity and Justice for Shreveport-Bossier
We’re excited to announce a new giving campaign on behalf of our friends at The Hub: Urban Ministries. As you know, The Hub is on a mission to give everyone in our city access to a restored life.
A big part of that is Purchased: Not For Sale, a two year trauma-informed residential recovery program for women coming out of the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking. Those served are given access to education, spiritual direction, and professional counseling.
But The Hub has a vision for Purchased to accomplish even more. They have recently purchased a building that, once renovated, will serve as the site for all that Purchased currently offers plus a new social enterprise that will provide on-site job training and employment opportunities for graduates of Purchased.
In partnership with Rhino Coffee, the new building will become Shreveport’s premier coffee roasting facility and, later, a commercial bakery. Phase 1 is all about getting the building renovated and ready for use. That’s where you and I come in.
Let’s go all in to help Purchased get into this new space! As ClearView celebrates 9 years, we hope to raise $10,000, the estimated cost for all interior framing and walls. Thank you for joining us in this campaign of generosity and justice!
Last year, we were blown away by your response to our campaign to fight injustice and slavery around the world. This year, we want to make a similar impact close to home, fighting against exploitation and trafficking in our city.
