Home Groups

Where faces become friends

We encourage everyone to participate in a home group, a small group meeting in the home of one of our members. Prioritizing a group keeps life from crowding out good friends. Each group has a unique personality, but they share that same aim.

Groups share meals, study together, and pray for each other. New groups are launched every fall, but you’re welcome to jump in anytime. Check out the group bio’s and then let us know which group you’d like to know more about!

Cook Group

When: Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.

Led by: Chris and Ali Cook

Our group is relaxed and friendly with just enough dry humor to keep the conversation interesting. We catch up over dinner and spend some time discussing the Bible as it relates to our lives. It’s a great time for growing in friendship and maybe even growing in the Lord. Kids are a welcome part of the group, but please leave your cats at home. We hope to see you soon!

Nutt Group

When: Wednesdays, 6 p.m.

Led by: Daniel and Christi Nutt

It’s important to create a circle of friends and get to know each other on a deeper level than just on Sunday. We’re a family with a small child. Come and spend some time with us mid-week and let’s focus up on the word and relate to each other on the wild and rewarding weekly experience raising a family entails. Come have dinner, great discussion, and make some new friends. We can promise plenty of fun and want to pack a lot into a weekly meet-up and leave plenty of time to get the kids to bed!

Phares Group

When: Sundays, 5 p.m.

Led by: Vic and Mali Phares

Busy, but looking to carve out some time to be in a small group this year? We’re getting together on Sunday evenings – after the game and your Sunday naptime – to eat, laugh, and talk about what it means to see Jesus clearly in others and in ourselves. There’s no better way to make new friends and get closer to old ones than to gather around a table, right? We’ll also focus outward on alternate weeks, helping others in the community. So, come – bring the kids and sometimes a covered dish – and we’ll have you out in time to get ready for Monday.

Smith/Boler Group

When: Tuesdays, 6 p.m.

Led by: Robert and Sue Smith; Keith and Robbyn Boler

We want to be open to the guidance of the Spirit and supportive of one another. We’re a group of retired adults, and our meetings vary depending on what seems most appropriate to what’s been shared that night. This group is family to us – and like any family, some of our favorite moments happen around the table.

Stewart Group

When: Wednesdays, 6 p.m.

Led by: Beau and Robyn Stewart

We’re a very upbeat, positive group with lots of laughter. Mostly young adults (or people who consider themselves that) making friends and encouraging each other. Dinner and dessert will be served (if you eat all your dinner!). The atmosphere is the bomb-diggity. Kids are welcome.

When: Wednesdays, 6 p.m.

Led by: Steve and Ruth Baker

Come on in! We’re a group of all ages that will feel like old friends. If you’re new, we’d love to meet you. If you’ve been around for a while, but this would be a new group for you, it would be great to know you better. We try to discuss things that matter, encourage each other, and start things off by sharing great meals together! We want our group to be a weekly experience of grace and encouragement.

Read over the descriptions and then use this quick form to let us know where you’d like to plug in. We’ll let the group leader know of your interest, and you’ll be all set!

Note: We ask for a second choice just in case the numbers in a particular group get wild. If you’d be happy to be part of either group, that may be a big help.
