Oct 16 – A Conversation about Local Hunger

As part of our Here, There, & Everywhere campaign, we’re diving into Feed SBC.

What is Feed SBC?

Feed SBC is a two-part hunger awareness event involving churches, schools, and community partners throughout Shreveport-Bossier.

Part 1- Feed SBC, A Conversation about Local Hunger.
October 16, 2015, at Centenary College, 6-8 p.m.
Kilpatrick Auditorium, Smith Building (corner of Kings and Woodlawn)
There are a number of organizations who are doing incredible work right here in our community. This night of conversation will highlight real issues and amazing success stories related to hunger in our area.

Join us for this TED talk-like event and learn from local experts and leaders about issues of hunger, food insecurity, and nutrition.

Part 2- Feed SBC, A Day of Service
MLK Day (January 18, 2016), BPCC and LSUS
We want to move beyond talk and bring people to action. We have partnered with Numana to facilitate a service event where 200,000 meals will be packaged by the community for the hungry in the community. We’ll have lots more information to share as this approaches. You’ll be able to sign up, along with friends and coworkers for a 1 or 2 hour meal-packing shift at LSUS or BPCC.

Check out our page for Here, There, and Everywhere and help us meet our goal!
